Level Sequence of disciplinary actions

Arrival & Dismissal Procedures

Morning Drop-Off Procedures

Cars may only leave children within the drop off zone through the bus circle;
Cars should pull up as far as possible (not by the doors to the cafeteria) to allow for more students to be dropped off;
Students may not be dropped off in the bus lane;
Students may not be dropped off in the faculty parking lot;
Drivers should use extreme caution passing other cars;
During inclement weather you should allow for extra time due to increased volume.

Afternoon Pick-Up Procedures

Cars should park in the basketball area. The chain will be down for you to access the space;
Please park facing out towards the parking lot to make your departure easier;
If there is no room remaining in the basketball area, parents are asked to line up in the first lane you can enter where faculty and staff park;
Please be mindful of students and faculty near the buses;
Do not exit until all buses have left the premises.

Periodically the press and/or media request to do a feature or a news story on an educational theme, safety topic or a specific District, PTSA, Ardsley Education Foundation, Ardsley Community Enrichment (ACE) or Ardsley Panther Booster Club event. They often ask for pictures of our students to accompany these articles. In order to highlight work that is going on in our buildings, children’s photographs and voice recordings occasionally may appear on the Ardsley District, PTSA, Ardsley Education Foundation, Ardsley Community Enrichment (ACE) or Ardsley Panther Booster Club websites as well. And, to build global awareness, many students have the opportunity to participate in Skype sessions, Google Hangouts, and virtual field trips. Please note when posting content on the internet or through the press, or when using social media, streaming video or voiceprints, children may be identified by name.

State Testing Information/Form

In May, Ardsley Middle Schools students will be taking standardized tests in English Language Arts (ELA), Mathematics, and Science. Testing dates for AMS will be as follows:

English Language Arts (ELA) Exam: May 1 & 2, 2025
Mathematics Exam: May 13 & 14, 2025
Grades 5 & 8 Science Exam: May 8, 2025

Standardized testing provides districts with important data that we use to ensure that our ELA, Math, and Science curriculum is, and continues to be, of the highest quality. A review of our data allows us to look at student performance as individuals, as a cohort, as a school, and as a district. This year, these assessments will be one measure among several that will help teachers adjust curriculum in the fall to address any impact from this year’s instruction. In addition, standardized testing results can be used to help a struggling student get the necessary academic support. We believe that our children are well-positioned to take these assessments and that the information provided will help our teachers support all students in the fall.
