Music
The Music department at Ardsley Middle School is dedicated to building upon the performance ensembles and general music experiences students gained in Concord Road Elementary School. Our faculty believes that music is vital to a child's well-being and overall development. To that end, our team is always available and eager to support each student's musical journey.
At Ardsley Middle School, we offer numerous opportunities for students to deepen their musical involvement. In addition to one of the four core classes - Band, Chorus, General Music and Chorus - students can participate in specialized after-school performance groups. Depending on their proficiency, band students can join Jazz Band or The Outcast (another jazz ensemble), while orchestra students have the chance to be part of Chamber Orchestra. Furthermore, all students in grades 5-8, regardless of their core class, can join two after-school choirs: AMS Singers and/or Troubadours Vocal Group.
Students in Band, Chorus and Orchestra showcase their talents in two seasonal concerts each year, while participants in the after-school groups also perform regularly. We are committed to nurturing each student's musical passion and helping them thrive.
