Staff Deepen Expertise Through Dyslexia 101 Workshop

Angela Grady recently led an IDA Dyslexia 101 Workshop for her colleagues in the AMS Special Education Department, with school psychologist Nicole Fernandes assisting during the Q&A portion of the presentation. The International Dyslexia Association (IDA) is a global organization dedicated to advancing understanding and effective support for students with dyslexia.

The workshop offered staff the opportunity to hear insights from students, families, and researchers, while also exploring evidence-based strategies to help children learn to read. This marks Angela’s first year as a certified IDA Dyslexia 101 Workshop Facilitator, and her leadership is helping strengthen the school’s ability to support diverse learners
