Sixth Graders Launch Be A Friend Project

Sixth Graders Launch Be A Friend Project
Two smiling girls write on yellow posters in a cluttered classroom office.

Students in sixth-grade guidance classes recently learned about the Be A Friend Project from classmates Charlotte Lee and Natalia DePaola. The initiative encourages students to become upstanders by showing empathy and support for peers who have experienced bullying in other communities.

Through the project, students write letters filled with encouragement, kindness, and positivity, helping kids support other kids during challenging times. Throughout the school year, all sixth-grade students will participate in this meaningful activity, fostering compassion, connection, and a culture of kindness.

Colorful handmade cards and letters with butterfly decorations are scattered across a light brown table.
