Sixth Grade Writers Take the Stage at Poetry Slam

On Thursday, June 18, students in Mrs. Reich’s sixth grade writing class showcased their creativity and love of poetry during a Poetry Slam held at Ardsley Middle School.

Students enthusiastically presented a variety of poems, including original works they had written themselves as well as selections by some of their favorite published poets. Throughout the event, students demonstrated confidence, expression, and an appreciation for the power of words.

The Poetry Slam provided an opportunity for students to celebrate their voices and share meaningful pieces with classmates and guests. The event highlighted the creativity and talent of Ardsley’s young writers and brought the school community together through the art of poetry.
