Remembering Through Story and Reflection
Fifth-grade students took time on Patriots' Day to honor and remember those affected by September 11, 2001, by reading This Very Tree. The book, which tells the story of resilience and hope through the Survivor Tree at the World Trade Center, provided students with an age-appropriate opportunity to reflect on the events of 9/11 and the importance of remembrance, community, and strength in the face of adversity.
