AMS Science Olympiad Competes at State Tournament

Members of the Ardsley Middle School (AMS) Science Olympiad Team competed at the State Competition held at East Minoa High School in Syracuse, NY, from April 24–25, earning 20th place out of 40 teams. The State Team consists of Konstantinos Doufekias, Bella Lim, Cara Ahn, Layla Bello, Akshaj Sharma, Ethan Lin, Aroosha Bashi, Molly Zhang, Tyler Ladigoski, Maddy Jo, Ben Salant, Emma Olszowski, and Celine Huynh-Dinh, all in 8th grade, as well as Griffin Goldstein and Seonghwan Kim, both in 7th grade. The team’s alternates are Rohit Gulani and Avnee Inamdar, both in 7th grade.

The team also achieved strong individual event results, with several students medaling in their respective categories:

  • Circuit Lab – Tyler Ladigoski & Seonghwan Kim – 6th Place
  • Codebusters – Cara Ahn, Akshaj Sharma & Ethan Lin – 7th Place
  • Heredity – Bella Lim & Molly Zhang – 8th Place
  • Solar System – Benjamin Salant & Molly Zhang – 6th Place

We are proud of all AMS Science Olympiad members who represented the team at this competition. Their commitment and hard work made it possible for the team to reach the state level, and their collective effort is deeply appreciated.
