AMS Hosts its Third Annual MATHCOUNTS Competition

AMS hosted its third annual Regional MATHCOUNTS Competition on February 8, 2025. Our seventh and eighth-grade competitors tackled the Sprint Round against the clock and took on complex problems in the Target Round.

Seventh grader Daniel Lee placed in the top ten, qualifying for the Countdown Round, where he reached the semi-finals. Meanwhile, Michael Moopenn Morris, also in seventh grade, finished in the top fifteen, just missing out on the Countdown Round. While we didn’t make it to State Level this year, we’re proud of our team’s hard work and can’t wait for next year!
